Chain of Lakes - Dusk

Ravens between North and Middle Lakes took to the sky in flocks fifty strong, and dripped back into the trees with cacophonous song.

A Towhee tries to settle in for the night.

At dusk the midges came out in force. Clouds of them lined the pathways around North Lake. When the darkness grew deep and the western sky faded to a blush of rose on ever strengthening blue - the bats appeared en masse.

They started swarming about and even flying around near head level... so I left the night to its rightful inhabitants.
