Berkeley Marina Night

Heading to the Berkeley Marina, traffic kept me away until after dark. I didn't expect to take any pictures. Thought I'd see an owl in the distance if I was lucky.

One highlight was a hunting Barn Owl floating over a pair of screaming Killdeer...

and I also waited for a murky apparition in the darkness to depart. When the blurry blob flew off I clicked the shutter and got this picture.

The streaks on the wings are from the flash being reflected off tiny waves near the shore.
